The Snare & Feral

“From life, to death, and life again … round and around it goes”

Beyond the land of the living, four souls find themselves trapped as the house band in a tavern somewhere between death and wherever we go next. Through dreams and songs they seek to remember who they were when they were alive. They endlessly practice their songs, believing the perfect performance will set them free.

But when another soul arrives their carefully crafted songs are thrown into chaos, leaving them asking, who was I really?

Through original folk music, playful humour and storytelling, this new Actor-Musician Musical explores our dominion over the natural world and what it means to be sorry for our mistakes.

‘It is well written with sparky dialogue, excellent musicianship and warmth by the bucketload.  I’m very excited about the potential future this piece has.’ Beccy D’Souza, The Nottingham Playhouse

This show has been being developed over the past year and a half. In that time the original soundtrack has been performed as part of our FolkTale Events. We have R&D’d Act One with Director Jennifer Baker, and in October 2024 we performed as part of The Amplify Festival at The Nottingham Playhouse.
